W. Baldwin nearly missed the game against Baskonia.

W. Baldwin experienced an adventure in the last 24 hours that could have resulted in his absence from the match against Baskonia, but thankfully, it ended well, and he ultimately traveled to Belgrade. Despite the discomfort he faced, the American guard will be able to play normally against Baskonia. It’s worth noting that Israel’s airspace closure was due to a drone attack from Iran.

Maccabi eventually departed for the Serbian capital, but Baldwin didn’t join the flight due to a bureaucratic passport issue. Nevertheless, Maccabi officially stated that Baldwin’s participation remains certain, clarifying the reason for his stay in Israel:

“Due to a bureaucratic issue regarding Wade Baldwin’s son’s passport, the player and his family were unable to depart from Israel last night. Resolving the matter necessitated Baldwin’s presence. Once the issue is resolved, he will fly to Belgrade today, arrive in time for practice tonight (4/15), and, of course, be available for the play-in game against Baskonia.”

With the matter now resolved, anticipation mounts for this crucial play-in match.
