Ticket Dispute: Maccabi Denies Panathinaikos Request Amidst Fan Surge.

The Maccabi correspondent reported that Maccabi has turned down Panathinaikos AKTOR’s official request for 250 tickets ahead of Game 4 playoffs in Belgrade (18:45 UTC). Instead, Maccabi aims to enhance its presence in the crucial match, aiming for an impressive 2,000 fans in the stands, effectively doubling their turnout from the previous game in the series. However, the realization of this plan hinges on the approval of the Serbian police and government.

In a related development, prior to Game 3, an additional 50 Maccabi Tel Aviv fans arrived in Serbia from Athens, boosting the Israeli contingent’s support to around 1,000 attendees. While Maccabi expressed appreciation to local authorities for facilitating their fans, this action sparked discontent from Panathinaikos figurehead Dimitris Giannakopoulos, who was present at the match.
