Sarunas Jasikevicius: "Our Fans Will Not Be Able to Score or Defend in Game 3".

Following the intense showdown with Monaco, Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team suffered a tough 93-88 defeat, evening the series at 1-1 in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague 2023-24 season Play-offs.

Head Coach Sarunas Jasikevicius offered his perspective to Fenerbahçe TV post-game, emphasizing the importance of team effort:

“Tonight’s match highlighted the collective effort required on the court. While our fans will undoubtedly provide invaluable support in Game 3, it’s important to remember they can’t directly influence scoring or defense. It’s the responsibility of the five players on the court to execute. Unfortunately, our start wasn’t ideal, and Monaco’s physicality posed challenges we weren’t fully prepared for. However, I commend our team for regrouping and staging a comeback with crucial plays. Despite the game’s back-and-forth nature, we demonstrated resilience, particularly in the closing moments. Nonetheless, we must acknowledge the impact of small details like missed rebounds or costly fouls, which can sway the outcome of such closely contested matches.”
