Ognjen Dobric’s Potential Move from Virtus Bologna to Partizan.

Ognjen Dobric’s Potential Move from Virtus Bologna to Partizan.

Long-time Red Star player Ognjen Dobric may have a contract with Virtus Bologna, but the situation remains fluid. If Dobric’s departure from Bologna materializes, he could attract interest from Zeljko Obradovic at Partizan.

Partizan’s Active Transfer Market.

Partizan’s head of administration, Ostoja Mihailovic, has been busy shaping the team’s roster. Within a few days, Mihailovic approved the releases of key players Kevin Punter and Zach LeDay. Simultaneously, Partizan announced three new additions for the upcoming season, making them available to coach Željko Obradović.

New Additions.

  1. Frank Ntilikina: The French guard joined directly from the NBA.
  2. Iffe Lundberg: Left Virtus Bologna to join Partizan.
  3. Vanja Marinkovic: Returned to Belgrade after being released by Baskonia.

Future Plans.

Despite these significant moves, Partizan’s summer transfer activities are far from over. Rumors in Serbia suggest interest in Nigel Williams-Goss, a player with a history at Partizan. However, Williams-Goss is currently under contract with Olympiakos, making his departure less likely.

Ognjen Dobric as a Target.

In contrast, Ognjen Dobric appears as a more feasible target. The 29-year-old small forward and shooting guard, who joined Virtus Bologna in 2023, might be released by the financially strapped northern club. Virtus is keen to retain Tornike Shengelia, which might prompt them to part ways with Dobric.
