Kentrick Nunn has signed with Panathinaikos for another 2 years.

The Panathinaikos guard, who has been having an excellent season this year and is indeed the key player, especially in the playoffs, signed with Panathinaikos in the middle of the year when the “greens” were in need of a guard after the injury of K. Sloukas. The American guard initially signed with the intention of leaving for the NBA this summer, but his experience in Europe led him to change his mind and sign another 2-year extension with Panathinaikos. He is the player who has been praised more than any other this year by Panathinaikos fans, with the team’s goals still open.

Panathinaikos tried to explore other options this year to fill Nunn’s spot in case he moved to the NBA. K. Punter’s name came up again, a player Panathinaikos offered last year but was turned down, and S. Larkin’s name was heard, but he signed for 4 years with Efes. Pretty much everyone was waiting for the development with Nunn, expecting him to renew his contract, especially considering his outstanding performance in the Euroleague stats.

Panathinaikos has made it to the Euroleague Final 4 and is in contention for the domestic championship. Let’s not forget that K. Nunn could also win the Euroleague MVP title, as he has scored 96 points in 5 playoff games, ranking first on the list.

In the Euroleague regular season, he averaged 15.9 ppg, 2.6 rebounds, 3 assists, 0.9 steals, and had a 11.7 PIR.
