Jaron Blossomgame Set to Join Barcelona After Leaving Monaco.

Jaron Blossomgame, after two years with Monaco, is now a free agent. Barcelona has initiated the process of acquiring him immediately.

Barcelona’s Active Transfer Market.

Barcelona has been very active in the transfer market. Recently, the focus has been on the scenarios related to Mario Hezonja, whether he will stay at Real Madrid or finalize his agreement with the Catalans. Amidst this uncertainty, Barcelona is preparing for two significant transfers.

One of these transfers, which has been in the works for days, involves Kevin Punter of Partizan. The second, more recent target is Jaron Blossomgame, a 30-year-old forward who was recently released by Monaco.

Blossomgame’s Journey and Barcelona’s Interest.

According to Basketnews, Blossomgame’s transfer to Barcelona is nearly complete, with only the final signatures and official announcements remaining. The American forward has had a diverse career, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2018-19 season, then moving to Europe in 2020 to play for Ironi Nahariya in Israel, followed by a stint with Ulm in Germany, and most recently with Monaco since 2022.

In the 2023-24 Euroleague season, Blossomgame averaged 6.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game for Monaco. Despite these stats, he often found himself in and out of the rotation under coach Saša Obradović. However, Barcelona’s new coach, Juan Peñarroya, believes Blossomgame did not get the opportunities he deserved and is ready to provide them.
