Iffe Lundberg Set to Leave Virtus Bologna as Contract Expires.

Iffe Lundberg is expected to be a thing of the past for Virtus Bologna as his contract expires.

End of an Era in Bologna.

After two years in Italy with Virtus Bologna, Iffe Lundberg is preparing for the next challenge of his career. The Danish guard, who even managed to reach the NBA while wearing the Phoenix Suns jersey, has been the clutch player for Virtus in recent years under the guidance of Sergio Scariolo and Luca Banchi.

No Renewal Talks.

This season, however, is his last with the black and white shirt. This is because his contract expires with the Italian team, and there is no talk of renewal between the two sides.

Moving in Different Directions.

Both Virtus and the player will be moving in different directions next season. The Dane is looking for a new “home” to continue his career, while Virtus will look to refresh their roster with new blood, particularly in the guard position.

Lundberg averaged 10.9 points with the Italian team in the EuroLeague this season. Notably, he was the one who secured victory in the play-in game against Anadolu Efes with his own basket in the final moments.
