Emporio Armani Milan Reaches Agreement with Ousmane Diop.

The Italian powerhouse, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, has agreed in principle with Senegalese big man Ousmane Diop, sources have told BasketNews. This move follows the departure of Nicolo Melli, as the team continues to reshape their frontcourt.

Reshaping the Frontcourt.

After Nicolo Melli left the club at the end of his contract following three seasons, Olimpia Milan, under the guidance of coach Ettore Messina, has been actively restructuring its frontcourt. The latest addition is Ousmane Diop, a 24-year-old Senegalese power forward, who has spent the last three seasons with Dinamo Sassari. This year, Diop averaged 11.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Key Acquisition for Milan.

Diop’s signing has been a priority for Milan, and after a lengthy negotiation, an agreement in principle has been reached. This acquisition not only adds a young and intriguing talent to Milan’s roster but also increases the number of Italian players on the team. Diop is considered Italian by formation due to his years spent in the youth system of APU Udine.

Diop’s Role in the Team.

Diop will serve as the main backup to Josh Nebo, with whom Milan has already secured a two-year agreement. Nebo’s recent acquisition of a Slovenian passport means Milan won’t need to use an extra visa to register him.

Melli’s Future.

In addition to KK Partizan and Real Madrd, Nicol├▓ Melli received a proposal from Fenerbah├že Beko Istanbul. The Turkish team made a two-year contract offer to the Italian player.
