Disappointing Season for Baskonia Ends with Major Changes Ahead, Including Codi Miller-McIntyre’s Uncertain Future.

Baskonia’s performance this season left much to be desired. Despite making it to the Euroleague Playoffs, the team was eliminated by Real Madrid. In domestic competition, they finished ninth in the regular season and did not even participate in the postseason.

Changes on the Horizon for Baskonia.

The Basques are planning significant changes to their roster and are currently in search of a new coach. Dusko Ivanovic has departed, and his replacement, whoever it may be, will inherit Marcus Howard, the leading scorer of the Euroleague for the 2023-24 season. However, it appears Codi Miller-McIntyre will not be part of the team.

Codi Miller-McIntyre’s Future Uncertain.

Codi Miller-McIntyre had an impressive rookie season in the Euroleague, recording a triple-double with 20 assists, 11 points, and 11 rebounds against Villeurbanne. He has one more year on his contract, but a buyout clause may see him leaving soon. According to Basketnews, Crvena Zvezda are eager to acquire him, and the Belgrade team is prepared to offer him a two-year deal.

Miller-McIntyre’s Impact on Baskonia.

In his first season with Baskonia, Codi Miller-McIntyre averaged 9.6 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.4 rebounds in Europe. In the two Euroleague Play-In matches against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Virtus Bologna, he posted averages of 20 points, 7.5 assists, and 7.5 rebounds. He was instrumental in helping Baskonia reach the Playoffs, where they were ultimately eliminated by Real Madrid in three games. During the playoffs, Miller-McIntyre averaged 14.7 points, 8 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.
