Barcelona Targets Milan's Star Forward Shavon Shields for Upcoming Transfers.

According to a Spanish report, Barcelona, who are willing to invest in transfers, are strongly considering Shavon Shields, despite the fact that the American forward has a contract with Milan until 2026.

Due to Milan’s team failures, the presence of Shavon Shields and his performances have been underestimated. However, the American small forward, especially with his season this year—freed from last year’s consecutive injuries—was hyperactive on an individual level.

So much so that he ended up being the team’s second-leading scorer with just 1.2 fewer points per game than superstar Nikola Mirotic, who is the highest-paid player in Europe. Shields averaged 15.7 points, made 2.6 three-pointers per game (38.9%), had 2.8 assists, and in addition to his offensive statistics, also stood out in the defensive area with 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game.

The 28-year-old American with Danish citizenship has been with the Italian team since 2020 and resides in the fashion capital. His contract, which was renewed last summer, runs until 2026. He is already the leading scorer in Milan’s history in the Euroleague, but this does not necessarily mean his future lies there.

According to a report by, Barcelona has placed him very high on their list. While the “Blaugrana” seem willing to get involved in the claim of Mario Hezonja, who remains a free agent, Shields is their next choice. His more realistic and competitive dynamic is capable of upgrading the Spaniards.
